Example

I haven't gotten around to posting my observations yet but this article is a fine example of the idiots I am talking about, and why something needs to be done about them.

I wish this guy a speedy recovery.

Exposure

I have been living in Indianapolis for almost 7 years now, and have grown to really like the city and many of its people.  However, I have noticed an alarmingly high number of idiots on its roads and highways.

Since day one in this great city I have noticed that 4-way stop signs, turn lanes, school zone signs, turn signals, turn lights, yellow lights, crosswalks, bike lanes, traffic laws concerning bicycles, rain, snow, and a myriad of other things seem to confuse many Indianapolis drivers. Every single time that I leave my apartment whether it be on foot, by car (Actually I drive an old Cherokee so I guess 'clunker' would be a more accurate term) or by bicycle (favored mode of transport) I see some moron endangering his or herself and others with his or her stupidity.  I have decided to do something about this issue with this little blog.

In short--my idea involves exposure.

I recently began carrying my camera with me wherever I go, and have purchased a cheap helmet cam for use when I am on my bike (I have plans to get a good helmet cam when money allows).  By using these little digital wonders I plan to post pictures and videos of local idiocy.  My hope is that by giving worldwide exposure to these idiots and their stupidity I can help curb these stupid acts.

In the 24 hrs since this idea came to me I have already come up with enough material to begin this exposure, but I am waiting to hear back from a couple of legal inquiries concerning potential ramifications of my actions.  Since a lot of the idiots I see are driving relatively expensive cars (Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, etc.) I am assuming that they would not only take offense at being exposed for their idiocy, but may be inclined to strike back with a lawsuit.  So, before I decide on the level of detail in their exposure I want to be sure that it isn't going to cost me everything I own.

My intention thus far is to get license plate numbers and where possible face pics so other people in my community and local law enforcement can know who to watch out for.  I also plan on supplying local community leaders, news outlets, and politicians these numbers and photos/videos in the hope that they can also give this subject some exposure.

If all goes well, and I don't get killed by a local driver, I will began posting pictures and videos soon.  I welcome all sensible discourse, and help with my little crusade and am anxious to see how this all turns out.
